More on the Home Essentials Kit and Deep Blue

The Home Essentials Kit is seriously an amazing value. 15ml bottles of all of the oils except the Deep Blue, which is 5ml. If you add up the wholesale price of each of these oils plus the diffuser, you save about $85 by purchasing them all together. Last week I shared about why I love Deep Blue here, here, here, here, here, and here.

Why I love the Home Essentials Kit

Recently, a friend on my Facebook page asked me what my favorite kid applications are using the Home Essentials Kit. First of all, the Home Essentials Kit is my VERY favorite kit of all time! Seriously. It is an AMAZING value! My #1 favorite thing about this kit is that it comes with a diffuser. There are 3 ways to use essential oils: topically, aromatically, and internally. With kids, you MUST incorporate aromatic use to take full advantage of what essential oils have to offer you. I am always diffusing something. At night, it's usually Breathe or Serenity, sometimes Arborvitae. During the day it's usually a citrus, my favorites are Lemon and Wild Orange. Stay tuned for more on the Home Essentials Kit.

Balance YOUR Hormones with Clary Calm

You too can get your hormones under control with Clary Calm. A couple of things: Put on EVERY night, whether you think you need it or not. (I have mine on my nightstand so that I can do it while getting into bed.) Put a generous amount over thyroid (throat area) and on abdomen over ovaries.
A friend of mine recently told me that her husband does not love the smell. If that’s the case, then maybe you could apply it as you’re getting out of the shower every morning. Find a time that works for you and do it.
This essential oil blend has completely eliminated all of my ovulation and period symptoms. No PMS, no cramps, no indication that my period is coming, no hormone-related cravings.
The key is to use it every night, not just during your period. You should notice a difference within about a month.

I HEART Clary Calm

One of my very favorite essential oil blends on the planet is called Clary Calm. It has all of the oils listed above. I haven’t used each of those oils individually, but I DO know that that combined they are AMAZING and essential to every woman’s physical and mental health! I recently ran out. I’m not sure how it happened. I ALWAYS have an extra, but I think I had given it to someone and had forgotten to order another. So, I went a few weeks without using it. And then ovulation came around and WOW! I had forgotten what that used to be like. Since using Clary Calm daily, I have not had one single symptom of PMS or any hormone-related issue. But I had forgotten what it was like to feel all of that stuff at once. Now I remember, and rest assured that I immediately placed an order and got back on track. No more PMS for me!

My Uncle, My Sister, and Deep Blue (Part 6 of 6)

The weekend following my mom’s 2nd surgery, my uncle came up to visit from California. We were talking about pain and discomfort and he mentioned that he suffers from significant shoulder pain a couple of times a week and he uses a lotion called Deep Blue to help with it. He said he just rubs it in and the pain really goes away. There you have it. Deep Blue to the rescue!

The following week, I was massaging some Deep Blue oil on my Mom's arm. My sister was sitting there looking on. Skeptically, she asked if I thought it might help the pain in her forearm. I gave her the bottle and she rubbed it in herself. Her first comment was that her sinuses had cleared and she could breathe! And also, her arm felt better. :)

Complications, Stomach Sensitivity, and Deep Blue (Part 5 of 6)

[Continued from yesterday]
She continued using the Deep Blue oil consistently on her arm prior to surgery and was expecting the same speedy recovery she had the first time around. Only there were complications. The surgery was more complex than anticipated and on the heels of 2 injuries and 2 surgeries, her body took its time to heal. Additionally, for some reason, her stomach was very sensitive and she could barely eat food, much less take pills of any kind for any reason. That’s when I really began to appreciate the options that are available to us through essential oils. With all essential oils, we have at least 2 ways to use them. Topically and aromatically. And with some oils, a 3rd method, internally. We completely took the internal option out of the equation and still had so many things we could do and try. I truly fell in love with my options and ability to help my mom, who was in so much pain. We tried a few different things and were able to ease her pain and aid her healing, largely with Deep Blue as well as a couple of other essential oils. If you are suffering with chronic pain and want to stop taking oral medication, Deep Blue may be the answer for you too!

My Mom, Saudi Arabia, and Deep Blue (Part 4 of 6)

My Mom lives in Saudi Arabia. On Christmas Eve she fell and broke her right wrist. She went to the doctor there and once it was determined that she needed to have surgery, she made arrangements to come to Utah to have her wrist repaired. She was in some pain, but she is known for her high pain tolerance and she was pretty ok. She healed well and headed back to Saudi Arabia. Well, only 10 days later [6 weeks post-op], she fell and severely damaged the previously injured site, moving the metal plate inside her wrist, as well as crushing additional bones surrounding her arm and wrist. She was in excruciating pain. She took narcotics around the clock for a couple of weeks before finally getting into surgery [in Utah again]. Even with the narcotics, she had a hard time functioning with the amount of pain she was in. Bad turned worse when the doctor told her she couldn’t take any oral medication, including ibuprofen, for 48 hours prior to surgery. In desperation, she asked me if I had anything that might help. I got out the Deep Blue oil and massaged her upper arm, elbow, fingers and feet. I mixed some up in a roller bottle for her so that she could easily apply it herself as often as she wanted. I used the Deep Blue lotion to massage her neck, back, and shoulders that were sore from having her arm in a sling for weeks. She slept through the night!  [To be continued...]

My Bro and Deep Blue (Part 3 of 6)

Last summer one of my super athletic brothers was injured in a soccer game. His leg and shin were bruised and swollen from his knee to his ankle and we weren’t sure if there was something broken in there. He went to his regular chiropractor and massage therapist who checked him out and determined that nothing was broken. His massage therapist told him to acquire some Deep Blue lotion and massage his leg every night. That man is a walking miracle. I mean, really he is. But also, his leg is well, he continued to play soccer and didn’t even miss a beat. Thank you Deep Blue!

Let's Start with Me! (Deep Blue, Part 2 of 6)

Let’s start with me. These past few days I have been battling a virus of some sort. I don’t know if an illness seems worse when you can’t remember the last time you were sick, or if I have become a total wimp from not ever getting sick. Probably both. This illness has included fevers, body aches, congestion, and lots of laying down trying to sleep. A couple of nights ago, I was feeling better. No fever. No coughing. But I was so tight and tense in my neck and shoulders from the gunk and trying to rest in odd positions that I just could not relax. And then I remembered Deep Blue. I pulled it out, dropped a few drops of oil on my right hand and rubbed out the left side of my neck and shoulder. Then I did the opposite with my left hand. I slept amazingly well for the first time in 3 nights. Thank you Deep Blue!

I want to start blogging again. I have so much to say and I need a space to say it. Do you ever feel that way? This week I am going to be talking about Deep Blue essential oil.
