My Mom, Saudi Arabia, and Deep Blue (Part 4 of 6)

My Mom lives in Saudi Arabia. On Christmas Eve she fell and broke her right wrist. She went to the doctor there and once it was determined that she needed to have surgery, she made arrangements to come to Utah to have her wrist repaired. She was in some pain, but she is known for her high pain tolerance and she was pretty ok. She healed well and headed back to Saudi Arabia. Well, only 10 days later [6 weeks post-op], she fell and severely damaged the previously injured site, moving the metal plate inside her wrist, as well as crushing additional bones surrounding her arm and wrist. She was in excruciating pain. She took narcotics around the clock for a couple of weeks before finally getting into surgery [in Utah again]. Even with the narcotics, she had a hard time functioning with the amount of pain she was in. Bad turned worse when the doctor told her she couldn’t take any oral medication, including ibuprofen, for 48 hours prior to surgery. In desperation, she asked me if I had anything that might help. I got out the Deep Blue oil and massaged her upper arm, elbow, fingers and feet. I mixed some up in a roller bottle for her so that she could easily apply it herself as often as she wanted. I used the Deep Blue lotion to massage her neck, back, and shoulders that were sore from having her arm in a sling for weeks. She slept through the night!  [To be continued...]
