Back to School Germs: What to do if you get SICK, Part 3

Sleep. More. If he or she normally sleeps 12 hours each night, add a nap or try putting them to bed a half hour earlier. Maybe they aren’t quite ready to fall asleep, but a half hour of quiet reading time in bed will likely allow them to fall asleep faster than usual. Cut out some optional activities so that they can rest and relax [after running around outside, of course]. Remember, our bodies do most of their amazing healing at night while we’re asleep.
